But that my 94 Mazda B2300 IS in fact an interferance motor that will cause damage to the pistons and/or valves if the timing belt breaks. I just bought a Ford Ranger 1993 through 1996 (Haynes) repair manual and it is for the same years Mazda B2300 trucks. Who/Which is right?
4banger, your Mazda 2300 is non interference as well as the 2.3 in the rangers.

The op's 1995 should be obd-2.

The op should check the marks in the 3 pulleys. He also should check for something that did not get connected.

Keep checking for codes.

The guy i bought it from says that the timing belt snapped when he stepped off the clutch too fast he said he got it replaced and ever since then it has been hesitating. Is it possible that the person that installed the timing belt did it incorrectly? Would that cause the engine to hesitate? And if so how can i correct that?
When you are KOEO can you see the CEL?
