Great another 3.0/4.0 thread to join the other 800 threads...

Not everyone has a need for the extra towing power...my 3.0 towss my flatbed with my two atvs just fine.

Not everyone has the need to accellerate like a bat out of hell and burn expensive tires.

For most people its basic transportation back and forth to work and maybe a little fun on the weekends.

The 4.0 has 62 more horses....and gets "almost" the same fuel mileage, not the exact same...

They say the 3.0 is a car engine, hmm well now they are puttinf the 4.0 in the Taurus as well so that also makes it a car engine...

The 3.0s only have the cam sync issues, a $100 and 30 minute fix, while the 4.0s had massive timing chain issues...


It all depends on the owner and what he/she needs the truck for...and how they are going to use it and maintain it.

The 4.0 guys will bash the 3.0s and then a 5.0 comes up and shuts them all up.
