Yes, you can remove the push-rod, but the plunger will be attached to it. You have to remove the clutch sensor, disconnect the push-rod (where it is attached to the peddle assembly), remove the C-clip, and pull the plunger all the way out (beware that fluid will spill onto your floor.) Once the air pocket has been purged, replace the plunger where it came from. Installation is reverse of removal.
