Great idea on not renting. Beth and I rented for about the first 5 years of marriage, but finally realized all the money we were losing. Since the two of you will have a little extra money laying around, may I suggest a joint account for bills and each of you set up personal "mad money" accounts. Trust me, it makes life soooo much easier that way. As for being together for 6 years, yea it's about time. Took us 5 years to finally tie the knot. Almost 16 years later, life's good to go.
